California's great central valley is well known for its almond orchards and the sleepy town of Durham, California claims the title of �Almond Capital of the World�. Durham and others including Chico where this picture was taken, are breathtaking in the spring when the almond blossoms burst with fragrant pink blossoms and bees hum busily as they collect pollen. This young bike rider winds through a path of pink blossoms.
