Upper Bidwell Park, in Chico, California, remains relatively untouched with majestic canyons overlooking Big Chico Creek, which contains some of the most spectacular swimming holes in Northern California. The terrain varies from rolling to steep, with many rock formations, including the unique Chico Sandstone and Lovejoy Basalt rocks.
